John was really great he explained everything and gave me and my wife good and honest information concerning our car.

I’ve gone to Cars, LLC ever since 2012 when my husband and I moved to CT. They do the best work out of anybody around town. I’ve taken my car there for standard maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotation, as well as more serious repairs. I drive an older Nissan Murano, and they have seen that car through all sorts of issues. I’ve never had a problem making an appointment with them, and they are always clear when they explain any problems with the car. The best part is the hospitality. Whenever my car needs to be at the shop for a few hours for repairs, they will drop me off at home so I don’t have to wait there, which is especially helpful with a toddler in tow. You can’t go wrong with this family-owned business.

I came in off the highway after my oil pressure gauge suddenly began fluctuating wildly while driving. John and team checked to make sure pressure was okay and decided it was a defective/busted oil pressure sensor. Replaced part and topped us up on oil and had us back on the road for $226 (205 before tax) in under an hour. Everyone was very friendly, I was offered tea and coffee and got to pet their sweet dog while I waited.

The important thing from CARS is the confidence they provide to you knowing that the repairs done are needed and that the quality of work is second to none. The knowledge base is always current and there isn't a problem they haven't seen or haven't been able to repair.

On vacation and had a check engine light started blink. Stop at lube service place that was going to charge 160 and needed my truck all day. Went to joe he check the code cleared it and checked for misfiring in 10 minutes. Said it was probably some trash in the fuel line or something minimal. Easy fix. If it breaks on this trip I will have it towed here to be fixed even from maine

I would recommend this location to anyone, they detect the real issue in your car specifically if you have an ACI problem.

I recently visited this shop and was very impressed with John and the team at Complete Automotive Repair Specialists. While on vacation in CT, my car had some issues with the air conditioning and the overall ride. My car has 145K+ miles and we drove a quarter of the way across the country to arrive in CT, and it had been a while since we serviced the car. I was seen right away and the team checked out my primary concerns, but also did a full review of my car. I told them that I was planning to drive home at the end of the week and to let me know if anything needed to be fixed ahead of a long drive. The team found some critical issues and fixed them, including replacing all four tires (tread was very low), replacing the rear wheel bearings, and replacing the rear shocks (we were already aware of this issue and happy to get this replaced with the other repairs). Additionally, they recharged the air conditioning and changed the filters. During their work, they noticed that oil was all over the front axle. I told them that I had a front axle replaced within the last 6 months. The issue they found was a leaking axle seal that was damaged during the axle replacement. The team at Complete Automotive Repair was able to get on the phone with my mechanic back home and talk through the issue. My hometown mechanic ended up paying for the service due to the damage. This was really above and beyond what I expected. Overall, I know I had a lot of work done on my car, but I never felt like the shop was trying to cheat me or tell me that something needed to be replaced when it really didn't need to be. Through my conversations with John, I also got the sense that this shop was very focused on their quality of work and the condition of the cars leaving their shop, and ultimately their reputation. The service was quick and thorough, and my car rides and works very well now. I wish this shop was near where I live now because they are truly a full-service, high-quality, auto shop. I have recommended this shop to my family and friends in the area and I would certainly visit them again if needed in the future.

I got a flat tire around 3 pm (they close at 5), and didn't have a quality spare on hand. I was towed to John's shop on about 30 minute's notice, and they were able to grab new tires for me, get them on my car, get them aligned, and have me out the door to make a 6 pm appt. I wish that this place wasn't all the way out in Cromwell; it's hard to find a good, honest shop with great customer service and management.

John is always a pleasure to work with. Much more of a personable feel at CARS, as opposed to the dealership. John is my go to guy for any automotive need. I would recommend CARS to family and friends 10 out of 10 times. He got my driveshaft replaced in a very timely manner to get me back on the road in no time.
